Overview
Eric Evans is the Senior Managing Director and Founding Partner at Evans Hagen & Company. Over the past 24 years Mr. Evans has lead EH&C’s Investment Banking and Litigation Support practices, advising senior executives and litigators on all manner of transactions and engagements of the highest strategic import. Mr. Evans formed EH&C with the goal of offering clients a truly long-term advisory relationship based on trust and actionable advice, realized through joint execution. 24 years later that goal has resulted in a loyal and robust client community.
Mr. Evans is an experienced expert witness, having produced opinions and testified for 24 years. He is highly skilled strategic advisor, helping clients to gain quick understanding of foreign subject areas and specific situational intricacies which are paramount in each engagement, and often make the difference toward a successful outcome. In this capacity, Mr. Evans brings a wealth of business and financial acumen to corporate cases and transactions, having previously worked on Wall Street as an investment banker for over 10 years.
He is commonly used as an advisor from the start of the litigation process, helping the litigator define the strategy that will be deployed to prosecute or defend his or her client and develop appropriate discovery requests. Additionally, his significant expertise in the Telecommunications Industry and its various facets have offered significant value to many high profile cases involving that sector over the last 24 years. As a testament to the value of his advice and testimony Mr. Evans has been repeatedly engaged for subsequent cases and he has built strong working relationships with various litigating attorneys as a result. Mr. Evans has had the pleasure of working for senior litigators at several of the largest law firms in the country. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, the Department of Justice, the FCC as well as many smaller public and private companies. He has been deposed over 75 times, thereby facing a variety of personalities and skill sets of the opposing counsel. He has had the opportunity to testify in courts across the country, but is proud of the fact that most of his cases settle before trial.
Prior Experience
Prior to forming Evans Hagen & Company, Mr. Evans was President and Chief Executive Officer of RCA Business Telephone Systems, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Communications Corporation of America, the Senior Vice President of NYSE-listed The Hallwood Group Incorporated, Senior Vice President of Butcher & Singer and a Consultant with the accounting firm of Laventhol & Horwath.
Education/Affiliations
Mr. Evans holds a B.A. in English and a B.A. in Biology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Evans still holds ties to his alma mater. He is on the Board of Advisors at Dickinson College, as well as the Class Chairman for Annual Giving for the Class of 1968.
