........Dr.
John J. Casey is currently President and Managing partner
at Evans Hagen & Company. Dr. Casey has
had over 22 years of experience providing management and
consulting expertise to a variety of companies representing
a broad cross-section of industries. Dr. Casey's activities
have included assignments involving strategic and tactical
analysis, market definition, market planning, market analysis,
organization realignment, venture planning/divestment, competitive
analysis, system design, system planning, and acquisition.
His clients have included
IBM, NCR, AT&T, SPRINT, NYNEX, Prodigy and MCI.
His assignments for these clients have included, but are
not limited to market segmentation, competitive studies,
and strategic analyses. Dr. Casey assisted a major
on-line telecommunications company, which was primarily
marketing its services to consumers, to target commercial
market segments for the sale of its products and services.
This assignment required an analysis of the client's strengths,
the identification and evaluation of the needs of different
market segments, and the analysis of competitive offerings
for each segment. He also developed a competitive
analysis of the marketing strategies for both consumer and
commercial businesses of the major participants in the long
distance industry. This analysis included strategic
issues, staffing costs, channel utilization, and overall
success and failure in each segment. Finally, he provided
an analysis of various market segments for several companies
in the customer service industry and compared these requirements
with the strengths of the client company. In addition
to this analysis, Dr. Casey reviewed competitive offerings
and suggested an overall strategy.
Education:
After receiving his
BA in Economics from Merrimac College, Dr. Casey went on
to get his Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University
in Washington D.C.

Senior Vice President of
Operations
As a member of the senior management team of this $100 million
start-up direct satellite broadcast company, Dr. Casey managed
the satellite uplink, field service, logistics engineering
and data processing functions. These responsibilities
involved all aspects of technical planning and staffing.
• Western Union
Corporation
President and General Manager, Field Service Division
Corporate Vice President
As a senior executive Dr. Casey had total responsibility
for a $150 million maintenance organization, including $40
million of third party billings. Dr. Casey also participated
in the start-up of Western Union's successful EasyLink electronic
mail service.
• CBS Records
Vice President of Management Information Systems
Dr. Casey was responsible for developing state-of-the-art
systems for managing the consumer-oriented record business.
He also conducted marketing, planning and cost reduction
programs. His marketing and planning responsibilities
involved all CBS activities related to the cable and home
video industries.
• Riker Maxson Telecommunications
Group
Director of Planning
As Director of Planning, Dr. Casey was responsible for a
wide range of ventures and divestitures for this $125 million
communications company.
